Help Hollow Oak Press, a new local publisher, celebrate the release of their first novel, “The Wordsmiths”, at the Oil City Library on Saturday, October 7th from 11 am – 2 pm. Amanda is a speculative fiction writer and founder of Hollow Oak Press. She is a dog-lover and peanut butter enthusiast who lives in a state of what-if. Amanda loves nothing more than when life bends around the corners of her expectations. Her work has been published by F(r)iction’s Dually Noted, Story Nook, and Wyld Flash, and she is a submissions editor and regular contributor to Humour Me Magazine.

Austin is a writer with a focus on the fantastical. He finds joy in the new and the now, and seeing a fresh idea come to life. When he isn’t chugging coffee and writing in a dark corner, he can be found hiking or making music. His works can be found in Every Day Ficition and RockScissorsPaper. Some of his favorite authors are Stephen King, Guy Gavrial Kay, and Terry Pratchett.

Jessica enjoys all things with a touch of dark magic and spends as much time as she can daydreaming about life’s what ifs. As the daughter of a librarian, literature was the backbone of her youth and continues to be one of her greatest passions. She enjoys devouring stories from her favorite authors, which include Naomi Novik, Glenn Duncan, and Hannah Whitten. Aside from her love of books, Jessica can frequently be spotted consuming frightening amounts of caffeine, crocheting, pretending to have a green thumb, snuggling her fur babies, and playing chauffeur for her mini-mes.
