They play a vital role as pollinators, and losing them would have a devastating ripple effect across all ecosystems. Find out more about these amazing insects and help the planet become beesponsible. Debra Houser has been a beekeeper since 2011. After thinking about it for several years, the timing of a windfall and the opening of Beeman Direct in Seneca got her started on a new obsession. She has always been interested in the environment and health, and adding bees to her favorites list of bicycling, her boys, and books was a no-brainer.
