Woohoo! It’s time for Summer at Your Library to begin! You excitedly head inside the library… only to find a frantic staff and a (once again) missing librarian – oh no, this seems vaguely familiar! Has anyone heard any yelling coming from the basement? All jokes aside, the looks on the other librarian’s faces are a bit troubling. You and the other participants start to gather in a confused circle when a staff member comes over and breaks the news. Your very dedicated librarian decided to take an ocean expedition in order to gather artifacts and knowledge for this year’s program. But her ship missed its arrival date, and no one has any idea what could have happened!

You have your boat and you’re on your way! But wait, a message starts to come over the radio - “Is anyone out there? My name is Edward Edwards the 15th, & I’m a marine archaeologist. I’m on my ship, The Bounty Hunter, off the coast of Raine Island. I think a friend of mine is in danger! I need assistance, please! She hasn’t answered my calls! Is anyone out there?!”

RESCUE THE LIBRARIAN

Once you discovered the ship's name, Mr. Edwards was quick to find the wreck’s exact location. It’s been an entire day since Mr. Edwards last heard from Libby. You dive below the surface. The ship is magnificent! Below what was once the deck of the ship, something catches your eye. There’s Ms. Boocks! She seems to be trapped in the jail cell notoriously named Pandora’s Box!

We didn’t forget about them! For ages birth to 3, pick up a paper log at your local branch to do early literacy activities with your little one. You can also attend Storytime programs throughout the summer. Finish your log by the end of the summer and get rewarded with a book, bubbles, and other cool prizes!
